Islands Tour: Murano, Burano & Torcello

Islands Tour: Murano, Burano & Torcello

Murano, Burano, Torcello & secret gardens

Duration
3 hours
Guests
up to 4 guests
Price
from €400

Three hours to cross the northern lagoon on your own boat with your own skipper, without the queues and fixed timetables of the public vaporetto. You head out to Murano and its glass furnaces, continue through the coloured canals of Burano and reach Torcello, the island where Venice began, with its thousand-year-old cathedral.

The advantage of going private is the pace: you can step off and walk where you like, stay longer where it appeals, and cruise across the salt marshes instead of following a scheduled line. The group is capped at four so the boat stays fast and comfortable on the open stretches.

Frequently asked questions

Do we visit all three islands?

Yes — the classic route takes in Murano, Burano and Torcello. Within three hours the stops have to be balanced, and the skipper agrees them with you based on what interests you most.

Is a glass factory visit included?

The cruise and the stops are included; visits to furnaces or museums are arranged on the spot. Tell us in advance and we will point you towards the less touristy workshops.

Why a maximum of 4 guests instead of 6?

The route crosses open lagoon. With four guests the boat stays quick and comfortable, and three hours are genuinely enough for all three islands.

Is there a guide on board?

The skipper is Venetian and talks you through the lagoon while cruising. If you would like a licensed tour guide for the visits ashore, we can arrange one on request.
